If Democrats don’t win the midterms next week, CBS News argued on Sunday, it’s the end of democracy. “The very future of our democracy” is on the ballot, CBS Sunday Morning host Jane Pauley warned in teasing a story from CBS News correspondent Robert Costa. She contended, that beyond crime and inflation, “lies what could be the most critical issue of all, the very future of our democracy.”
