In a true act of anti-Semitism, the Hamas terrorist organization launched hundreds of Qassam rockets and other projectiles into southern Israel on Monday. While the Iron Dome defense system intercepted most of the weapons, a few managed to get through to strike homes and businesses. This attack, which many say was the largest since the 2014 war, didn’t get airtime on CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News. Instead, they hyperventilated about dumb high school kids apparently giving the “Nazi salute”.
Before their prom earlier this year, a group of male students (including a black student) from the Baraboo high school in Wisconsin apparently showed their poor judgment and posed for a photo where many (not all) of them had their right arm extended. The photo drew outrage from many as it appeared they were doing the Nazi salute. It also drew full coverage from all three broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC).
The hysteria was so great, that both ABC and NBC touted authorities for looking to see if they could nail the dumb high school students on serious charges, despite no one being harmed. “The school district is calling the gestures extremely inappropriate launching an investigation and exploring possible legal action, police assisting in the case,” reported NBC’s Ron Mott.
To prove how detached from reality they were, those same networks pushed the long-debunked claim that the “Ok sign” stood for “white power”. While there was a kid making the “Ok sign”, he was clearly playing the so-called “circle game”, which dated back to the 80’s. According to Dictionary.com, “The Circle Game is an activity where one person makes a ‘circle’ with their fingers and holds it below their waist, convincing a second person to look at it. If the second person looks, they receive a punch to the shoulder.”
