CBS Cries Foul over Houston Rejecting Transgender Bathroom Measure; Touts Calls for Boycotts

<p>The day after voters in Houston, Texas defeated a measure dubbed by many to be <strong>&ldquo;the bathroom bill&rdquo;</strong> aimed at <strong>&ldquo;protecting&rdquo; </strong>gay and transgender people from discrimination, Wednesday&rsquo;s <em>CBS Evening News</em> lit into those who overwhelmingly opposed the measure by touting fears of Houston businesses being boycotted and even the 2017 Super Bowl being moved out of the city due to this measure&rsquo;s failure to pass.</p>

<p>Anchor Scott Pelley started the diatribe by explaining that the final margin was<strong> &ldquo;61 percent to 39 percent against an ordinance to ban discrimination in housing and employment based on age, sex or gender identity.&rdquo;&nbsp;</strong></p>
