Canada’s Harper Criticized UN ‘Moral Relativism’ in Israel Speech

During a visit to Jerusalem early last year, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said it would be easy in international forums to “‘go along to get along’ and single out Israel.” Yet doing so was neither “balanced” nor “sophisticated,” but rather “weak and wrong.” Harper’s defeat in this week’s election deprives Israel of arguably its strongest ally – and the U.N. of one of its most outspoken critics.
