Brownstein Charges Repubs Guilty of McCarthyism for Not Denouncing Trump’s Vote Fraud Claims

“Like a modern analog to the silence of Republican congressional leaders during the rampages of Joe McCarthy in the early 1950s,” CNN senior political analyst Ron Brownstein charged on CNN on Sunday night, “history will have no trouble finding a parallel between Mitch McConnell’s attempt to kind of look the other way and what so many Republican leaders did until Joseph Welch said, ‘at long last, sir, have you no decency?’” The senior editor at The Atlantic asserted: “I think we are seeing a modern equivalent of that unfolding before our eyes now.”
