Biden Says Combat Role in Iraq Will End at Year’s End, But No Indication of a Reduced Footprint

President Biden confirmed alongside Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi Monday that by the end of the year the U.S. “combat mission” in Iraq will have ended, although there’s no indication as yet that the number of troops there will actually drop.
