REV AL SHARPTON (14 May 2013):The Benghazi case I’ve expressed I think is a whole lot about nothing and I don’t see any there there. If the whistleblower statement in my opinion is that they were changing and editing the statement but basically were not changing facts then I don’t understand how if the State Department and intelligence was just going over what their message was going to be which any government or independent of government people would do at the press, we do it at National Action Network.

They do it in any civil rights group any church group any public group all the time. How does that amount to there was a cover-up by the White House White House. There was no evidence that the White House was involved had knowledge and there was no evidence that the State Department people that they’re talking about did it out of any political motivation or any other reason other than clarify their message. And this whole thing about the Internal Revenue and the Tea Party like I said on my TV show last night, if they were targeted its wrong. But is seems strange when you had groups targeted like mine like the NAACP, 2004 month before the election they went after the NAACP.

They went after National Action Network saying we had employees that didn’t exist and shakedowns, none of that after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars to defend yourself, none of that an they come back oh well you owe back taxes which we knew before you went into all of that. Nobody go through criminal investigation to find out about taxes. But the right wing never saw that. Now, of course they’re trying to blame all of this on the President.
