"With American Children Already Falling Behind" NBC Frets Over "Risk" to PBS's Sesame Street

NBC rallied to defend taxpayer funding for public broadcasting after an NPR executive was caught on tape disparaging Christians and the Tea Party. "At risk, programming like Sesame Street," reporter Lisa Myers suggested. "With American children already falling behind," she fretted, "Bert and Ernie could become a casualty of the political wars."
