Whiffing at a major chance to prove conservative critics wrong on Thursday, self-described “conservative” co-host of The View Alyssa Farah Griffin passed up at an opportunity to promote prominent and popular conservative women as the rest of the liberal cast bashed America as too backward, sexist, and racist to elect a woman as president.
A sizable chuck of Thursday’s show was dedicated to the cast bellyaching about how America refused to elect Hillary Clinton president and suggesting the country was terrible because we had not elected a woman yet. “That's on the American people because somehow there's this idea that we are not welcomed to be president, that we are not capable of being president as women,” co-host Whoopi Goldberg declared.
Co-host Sara Haines chimed in to suggest sexism was what got us a Donald Trump presidency so now we needed to “move on."
