Disney’s attack dogs at ABC News were at it again Thursday, spewing dangerous disinformation about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R). This unhinged screeching form the cast of The View involved faux conservative and Florida resident, Ana Navarro lying about “Ron DeSaster” planning to “ban the alphabet,” and joyless Joy Behar calling him and all Republicans “fascists” who were trying to keep people stupid.
Racist Whoopi Goldberg started the show by whining about groups like NewsBusters fact-checking their lies; finally admitting that Florida does indeed mandate black history be taught to students. But she huffed about it not being up to her standards:
It's been mandated since 1994, but funding was never mandated. It's been poorly enforced and 11 of 67 Florida school districts are considered to be meeting the mandate. Most districts limit instruction on black history to black history month. Then you should also know, Florida's statute doesn't want students to persuade towards a view that goes against state academic standards.
At no point did Goldberg disclose who conducted this purported review of Florida’s curriculum. And given The View’s willingness to lie about Florida’s education system, what she said can’t be trusted.
