12-Year-Old Boy Thought To Have Died In The Ocean Making Remarkable Progress

A 12-year-old boy was swimming in the ocean in Washington State when a riptide pulled him out to sea. It took almost 20 minutes to locate the boy since he was underwater and when brought onto the beach, he was thought to be dead. Medical personnel were able to get a small pulse at the hospital and after three days the boy awoke. He spoke in complete sentences surprising doctors who thought if the child survived he most likely have massive brain damage due to the lack of oxygen.
