Reacting to how President Trump tweeted and played golf during a memorial service for the late Senator John McCain, Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski declared on Tuesday’s (September 4) show that the Trump presidency is “over” and she’s frustrated that his tweets still must be reported: “For me, I kind of move on knowing, this presidency, in many ways is over. And we’re just getting through it, and goodness will prevail.”
Twenty minutes later she compared to Trump to the memorial services for Aretha Franklin and McCain: “Queen of Soul versus the soul of America versus some sophomoric joke that pretends to be president. We got to cover it, but it’s over.”
