ANDREA LEON: Consumer prices have gone up 6.2% over the past twelve months, the highest rate (of increase) of the past 30 years. Some experts say that there is not much that the administration can do, and predict that crude prices will remain high and will fall next year. Another example: the price of meat is up 30% since the outset of the pandemic. But what can we do? Avoid unnecessary spending, for example: instead of buying a cup of coffee every day, do it once a week and brew your own throughout the rest of the week. Take public transportation to go to work, or take turns carpooling with a friend. These are small changes, Ayleen and Borja, but they make a difference long-term.

AYLEEN DEL TORO: Of course, they help us save and protect our pockets now that you spend a bit more with the holidays and all the festivities, right?

BORJA VOCES: And by the way, in a statement this morning President Biden said that reversing inflation is the highest priority of his administration at this time, so we hope this will be resolved because we in fact have to tighten our belts.
