State Dep’t on Russian Assertion That Iran Does Not Sponsor Terror: ‘We’re Not Buying It’


State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said Tuesday the United States was “not buying” Russia’s assertions that Iran does not support terror. She cited attacks against Americans, Europeans and Syrians by a regime which she described as “the world’s top sponsor of terrorism.” On Friday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters at the United Nations in New York there was no evidence that Iran sponsors terrorism.
