Appearing Friday night on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher, left wing comedian Sarah Silverman slammed President Trump as anti-Semitic as she asserted “it is not lost on me that I am very lucky that I get a star and I don’t have to sew it on my clothes.” A few minutes later,  she charged Trump’s rhetoric has fueled violence: “He knows he can start a fight and he doesn’t have to finish it because someone else will finish it for him and that’s his role in domestic terrorism.”

Silverman, host of Hulu’s I Love You, America, pivoted from Maher noting she had been awarded a star on Hollywood’s “Walk of Fame,” to an ugly quip about President Trump:

“In a time, Bill, where anti-Semitic crime is up 57 percent since this douchebag has taken office, it is not lost on me that I am very lucky that I get a star and I don’t have to sew it on my clothes.”

Minutes later, she pontificated:

“It’s been exactly two weeks since he announced he was a nationalist and in that time there’s been two mass shootings and 14 bombs sent to every single person that he targets in his speeches, his rhetoric, over and over again. He knows he can start a fight and he doesn’t have to finish it because someone else will finish it for him and that’s his role in domestic terrorism.”

Both lines earned audience applause.
