Presumably under the impression they were standing up for their friends in Antifa, liberal White House reporters Yamiche Alcindor of PBS and Steve Portnoy of CBS News Radio embarrassed themselves at Monday’s briefing with respective questions about whether President Trump wants to see rioting and if a focus on the weekend’s Portland violence should be on a supposed video of Trump supporters shooting paintballs.
As usual, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany wasn’t having any of their nonsense, slapping down both by emphasizing the obvious, which was that the focus should be on what’s been three months of “horrific, horrific violence by Antifa and radical anarchist organizations” and that the White House is “not rooting” for violence.
