[See NewsBusters for more.] On Monday's Craig Melvin Reports on MSNBC, analyst Richard Stengel claimed that the drone strike that killed ten civilians in Afghanistan shows that President Biden was correct to withdraw from the country.
Stengel, who before he was with MSNBC, was with the Obama State Department and before that, the managing editor of Time magazine, was asked by Melvin, "I mean, the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan was already a rough patch for the Biden administration to say the least, but where, where does this mistake leave the White House now? How does it fit into the broader story of Afghanistan?"
