[See NewsBusters for more.] For most people, the idea that conservative groups donate money to conservative causes is so obvious it wouldn't even be considered interesting, but MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell and the New Yorker's Jane Mayer are not most people. On Mitchell's Monday show, Mayer attempted to paint a picture of conservative dark money groups waging war in "trying to suppress the vote."
Mayer was on to discuss her latest article, when Mitchell asked what all these groups have in common. For Mayer, it was money and lots of it, "Well among other things, money, and the Bradley Foundation which has put money into so many of them, but there’s interlocking players, really."
