Kerry on New Iran Sanctions Bill: ‘We Told Them We Wouldn’t Do It’

Asked why the U.S. should not enact a new, delayed-action sanctions bill to make clear to the Iranians the importance of them not violating an interim nuclear agreement, Secretary of State John Kerry told lawmakers during a hearing last month, “Because we told them we wouldn’t do it while we were negotiating.”
