[See NewsBusters for more.] CNN Newsroom host Poppy Harlow displayed a glaring double standard on Friday when talking about the role social media companies played in the January 6 insurrection on Capitol Hill. For, Harlow the events of that day showed that Facebook merely needs a solution when it comes to content that promotes violence, but Parler should remain offline regardless of their attempts to come up with a content moderation policy.

Tech reporter Brian Fung joined Harlow and co-host Jim Sciutto to discuss a study where the Tech Transparency Project, "set up a dummy account on Facebook to try to mimic what a far-right sympathizer might behave or do on Facebook and it found that this dummy account got served alongside pro-insurrection posts, ads for body armor, holsters, firearm accessories and other tactical gear that are potentially very worrying here."
