Hannity Highlights Buzzfeed Article as One of Many Examples of Inaccurate Reporting

During Friday's edition of Hannity, host Sean Hannity played clips of media figures falling hook, line, and sinker for a Buzzfeed report alleging that President Trump asked his attorney Michael Cohen to lie under oath that later turned out to be faulty.  The montage featured "liberal media pundits" "breathlessly, hysterically" predicting President Trump's imminent impeachment, with many comparing the President to Richard Nixon. One clip featured Eugene Robinson of The Washington Post calling the Buzzfeed reporters who broke the story as "very credible reporters," apparently forgetting about the checkered past surrounding one of the reporters, Jason Leopold, who falsely reported that Karl Rove told George W. Bush that he was about to be indicted. Following the conclusion of the montage, Hannity remarked "you would think by now, the so-called journalists in the echo chamber...would have learned their lesson. They have been burned so many times in the last two years." Hannity went through a list of debunked stories that the media fell for, including Michael Cohen's non-existent trip to Prague, the fake CNN story about Anthony Scaramucci that led to the resignation of three CNN staffers, and the Brian Ross story alleging that President Trump ordered General Michael Flynn to make contact with the Russians.
