Former New York Times media reporter Bill Carter on Sunday denounced, as “shocking” and “questionable,” the order by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to lower flags to half-mast in the state when the funeral occurs for the late Rush Limbaugh, a resident of the state.

Appearing on CNN’s Reliable Sources, Carter, now a “media analyst” for CNN, contended Limbaugh’s “views were pretty ugly and they hurt a lot of people.” He argued that “to make it a heroic thing or something that should be celebrated like, you know, a war hero, I find that pretty questionable.”
