Chinese President Decries Abuses Against Women, Says in China Every Woman Has Opportunities to Excel in Life

At a high-level U.N. gender equality event Sunday, Chinese President Xi Jinping decried the fact that in various places “abuses and inhuman treatment of women continue to occur from time to time,” but said in his country “every Chinese woman has the opportunities to excel in life and make their dream come true.”
