While debating criminal justice reform at Wednesday night’s Democratic Presidential Debates, Sen. Cory Booker seemed to befuddle Joe Biden, who ended up calling Booker the “future president.”

Booker claimed criminal justice reform is needed following measures put in place by Biden in the past. Booker’s measures included “having true marijuana justice.”

The comment left Biden wading through the verbal weeds, rambling about Booker as the “future president.”

“The bills that the president -- excuse me, the future president, that the senator is talking about, are bills that were passed years ago and they were passed overwhelmingly,” Biden stammered.

“Well first of all, I'm glad he endorsed my presidency already,” Booker said when he had an opportunity to respond.

Later in the exchange Booker slammed Biden’s criticism of Booker's history on criminal justice measures, “you're dipping into the Kool-Aid and you don't even know the flavor.”
