On Sunday's Fareed Zakaria GPS, panel members took shots at the Catholic bishops for their defense of Church teaching on contraception, and claimed the matter was a losing issue for Republicans.

The Daily Beast's Andrew Sullivan brushed off contraception as a "trivial matter" and added that the Catholic bishops and other Christian leaders have "politicized" their opposition to contraception into an anti-Obama strategy.

The Washington Post's "On Faith" editor Sally Quinn smacked the bishops for deciding that "millions and millions and millions of women" should not be using contraception.
