ABC, NBC Boost Biden Claim Trump Might Call Off Election in November

While neither of them has given airtime to covering the woman accusing him of sexual assault, ABC News and NBC News spent portions of their Sunday morning programs boosting former Vice President Joe Biden’s conspiratorial claim that President Trump was looking to call off the 2020 presidential election, or push it back.

“He said in an interview something a couple days ago, quote, ‘I think’ -- talking about President Trump – ‘He is going to try to kick back the election somehow, come up with a rationale why it can't be held.’ Joe Biden suggesting there may not be an election in November,” announced NBC’s Willie Geist to political director and Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd on Sunday Today.

With no condescending tone nor angry dismissal as the media has done with claims of election fraud from the President, Geist simply asked Todd: “Is that a widely viewed worry among Democrats?”

Todd explained the view wasn’t widely held and instead of condemning the dangerous conspiracy, he wrote it off as an homage to the sinister rhetorical tactics of President Johnson.
