[See NewsBusters for more.] After Donald Trump struck a trade deal with Mexico on Monday, ABC’s World News Tonight avoided the news of another potential trade war being avoided. On Tuesday, the network finally got around to the topic, but allowed just a scant 37 seconds on the subject. And while CBS This Morning offered a full report, the Today show only managed 25 seconds. Good Morning America co-host George Stephanopoulos quickly explained: “The President made news yesterday on trade, announcing a new trade deal with Mexico, a revised NAFTA deal. But Canada wasn't part of this and it's not clear you can have a NAFTA deal without Canada.”
