You know how, when you’re scrolling through your phone looking for that perfect emoji to send your mom wishing her a Merry Christmas Happy Holidays, you find yourself thinking, “Gosh, if only there were a gender-neutral Santa Claus!”

Yeah,  no one else, either.

But according to this, Emojipedia is here to give us what no sane person actually wished for, saying they’ll be adding a transgender flag and a gender non-specific Kris Kringle to its line-up of 117 new emojis for 2020. It looks like this.

Also included in the new emoji lineup is an androgynous-looking figure in a tux...

...and a "bride" with a mustache.

“Variations of existing emojis now approved for 2020 include a woman or gender-inclusive person in a tuxedo, as well as a gender-neutral person or a man in a veil. These, along with other approved emojis, will be coming to phones later this year,” said the Unicode Consortium, which is responsible for putting the popular cartoon icons on all our phones.

"Also included in this update is a gender-inclusive alternative to Santa Claus and Mrs Claus, named Mx Claus,” they added.

The additions will be added to the already-existing 138 gender-neutral emojis that were added in 2019 as part of Emoji 12.1.

To which there can only be one response:

But hey, at least they also included a ninja?
