'Yes, I Am': Pelosi Confirms Another House Speaker Run 'If the Democrats Keep the House'

During her interview with CNN host Jake Tapper on Sunday’s “State of the Union,” House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) confirmed that should the Democrats keep control of the House of Representatives following next week’s election she would seek another term as Speaker.

The interview was mostly centered around the Chinese coronavirus and the negotiations going on concerning the possible aid bill for the American people. But as Pelosi turned talk of the negotiations and the pandemic itself into political reasoning to vote Democrat, Tapper asked Pelosi about her possible post-election aspirations.

“If Democrats keep the House, are you going to run for another term as Speaker?” Tapper asked Pelosi.

“Yes, I am,” Pelosi responded. “But let me also say that we have to win the Senate, so all this discussion of the virus takes us to the importance of this election. Vote your health.”
