After announcing his presidential reelection bid on Tuesday, President Trump was met with a pleasant surprise. After just 24 hours, the GOP raked in a whopping $24.8 million dedicated to Trump’s reelection campaign, according to GOP Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel.
@realDonaldTrump has raised a record breaking $24.8M in less than 24 hours for his re-election. The enthusiasm across the country for this President is unmatched and unlike anything we’ve ever seen! #trump2020 #KeepAmericaGreat

...The fundraising -- at a clip of $1 million an hour -- came through the Trump re-election campaign and joint-fundraising committees Trump Victory and Trump MAGAC (Make America Great Again Committee). A Trump campaign official told Fox News on Wednesday that the campaign raised more than $14 million, and that the joint-fundraising committees raised more than $10 million.
As it stands now, the incumbent president maintains a large cash advantage over his opponents, already having $40.8 million on-hand before Trump even officially announced his candidacy or re-election.
With polls placing Trump firmly behind Biden and other Democratic hopefuls, one can only wonder if the president’s massive monetary advantage will be a key deciding factor in granting him another win.
