(NOTE: The headline and article now reflect the updated numbers from the Chicago Sun-Times.)

It seems that there’s really no rhyme or reason anymore for the weekly bloodshed that politicians and “activists” purposefully ignore in the city of Chicago. With the past couple of weekends seeing a decrease in shooting victims in the Windy City, there was a modicum of hope that the numbers would continue to fall. Well, this past weekend basically said “Hold my beer,” because the shooting victim numbers increased — and not just slightly.

This past weekend saw at least eight people fatally shot, with another 35 wounded in shootings across the Chicagoland area. This is a sharp increase over the previous weekend, which saw at least four people killed and another 25 wounded.

Here are the names and ages of those who died in shootings over the weekend, according to the Chicago Sun-Times:

Unidentified Male, 20

Larry Becton, 24

Lavell Mathis, 25

Daniel Zetina, 20

Unidentified Male, Age Unknown

Deangelo Mills, 28

The Sun-Times also reported that four teenagers were wounded in shootings over the weekend, ranging in age from 15 to 17.

The year-to-date numbers on weekend shooting victims in Chicago is now up to at least 289 people dead and 1,506 people wounded. The Chicago Tribune shooting tracker, which keeps a weekly count of all Chicago shooting victims regardless of the day of the week, reported that 3,560 have been victims of shootings, as of November 4. That is 1,199 more than at the same point in 2019, and the second highest number behind the same point in 2016 (3,754).

With elections happening last week, politicians, the radical media and celebrities had more of an excuse to maintain their silence when it comes to people being shot en masse in cities across the country. The activists aren’t much better as people being shot in Chicago isn’t “sexy enough” to further their causes — whatever they might be this week.
