I know we're all supposed to "turn the other cheek," but there's also the saying that "turnabout is fair play."
According to Politico, Nikki Haley, the former ambassador to the United Nations (UN) during President Donald Trump's administration, was refused a meeting at Mar-a-Lago with Trump after Haley reportedly requested said meeting on Wednesday.
If the Politico story is completely accurate, what did Haley expect after she completely threw Trump under the bus in an interview published just days earlier by, ironically, Politico?
"We need to acknowledge he let us down,” Haley said in the interview published on Feb. 12. “He went down a path he shouldn’t have, and we shouldn’t have followed him, and we shouldn’t have listened to him. And we can’t let that ever happen again."
The sheer audacity of Haley's part to think Trump would grant her an audience days after she publicly said the above statements is mind-boggling. Then again, it's not all that shocking considering the majority of those in and around the Washington D.C. scene are little more than opportunists.
