'White Lives Matter' Rally Planned For Tennessee

Many of the white supremacists at the Charlottesville rally, which led to the death of counterprotester Heather Heyer, are now planning a new event in Tennessee at the end of the month.

The new rally is currently being planned for Saturday, Oc. 28, in Shelbyville, Tenn., located an hour south of Nashville. Reports show that the event is being held and organized by the Nationalist Front, a conglomeration of white nationalist and white supremacist groups.

So far, the groups involved include the National Socialist Movement, Traditionalist Worker Party, League of the South, White Lives Matter, and Vanguard America, of which Charlottesville attacker James Alex Fields was allegedly a member.

A blog post from Brad Griffin, who writes content under the online alias of Hunter Wallace on his blog Occidental Dissent, claims the event is being set up to draw attention to a largely underreported church shooting in Antioch, Tenn., in which Emmanuel Samson, 25, a legal resident from the Sudan killed one and injured several others at a local church known for taking in refugees.

The rally also seeks to bring attention to "the ongoing problem of refugee resettlement in Middle Tennessee," as Griffin describes in his post. Griffin also lambasted President Trump for ignoring the issue and quote "not saying a word" after the September shooting.

This particular event was being called "Unite the Right 2.0" according to The Tennessean, but organizers are now switching the marketing to "White Lives Matter" as the event name.
