MRCTV readers and viewers likely are aware of the stunning police-state tactics of Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland, and the alleged coordination between the Biden administration and the National School Boards Association in the formulation of what certainly seems like an artificial pretext to persecute concerned American parents who attend local school board meetings.

Now, there’s more.

RedState reports that a federal whistleblower has produced documents completely contradicting Garland’s October 21 claim (under oath, to Congress) that the DOJ and FBI were NOT using federal law enforcement assets to target concerned parents.

(T)hese new documents deliver a decisive blow to Garland’s previous assertion that the DOJ/FBI was not using the counterterrorism apparatus to target parents. In fact, they show the opposite, i.e. that the counterterrorism division was not only involved (and presumably still is) but that it was being used to 'tag' parents as potential threats.

The GOP members of the House Judiciary Committee November 16 tweeted images of a letter to Garland, signed by Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH), the GOP ranking member of the committee, in which Jordan referred to leaked information showing that the FBI used counter-terrorism tools and assets against parents. Said Jordan to Garland:

This whistleblower information calls into question the accuracy and completeness of your sworn testimony before the Committee.

Many observers of Garland’s October 21 testimony soon noticed the discrepancy between the National School Boards Association’s flight away from its initial – and quite overblown – claims that many concerned parents at school board meetings around the U.S. were “potential terror threats,” and the letter continued:

The NSBA Board of Directors later apologized for its letter to President Biden, writing: ‘On behalf of NSBA, we regret and apologize for the letter (emphasis in original). You, however, have stubbornly refused to rescind your directive, even though you testified that the NSBA letter was the basis for your Oct. 4 memorandum. Your directive to the FBI, therefore, remains in effect.

That info lends credence to our skepticism of Garland’s testimony before Congress.

And it gets worse for Garland, as The Washington Examiner’s Kaylee McGhee White observes about the whistleblower revelations:

The email, signed by FBI Assistant Director for Counterterrorism Timothy Langan, says that the Counterterrorism Division and Criminal Division created a ‘threat tag’ for FBI officials to use when monitoring potential threats against school board members, teachers, and other staffers. Bureau agents, wrote Langan, should also ‘attempt to identify’ the motivation behind alleged threats and determine whether there are ‘federal violations that can be investigated and charged.’

For some wild, bizarre reason, one might just be led to conclude that the Biden administration and people at the NSBA coordinated to create a trumped-up “crisis,” have it promoted by the leftist pop media who ceaselessly show contempt for local parental concerns about collectivist pedagogy on school grounds, and then, initiate pre-planned federal police actions against said parents as a method of intimidation reminiscent of the Obama administration’s intimidation of journalists when Biden was vice president.

’The purpose of the threat tag is to help scope this threat on a national level and provide an opportunity for comprehensive analysis of the threat picture for effective engagement with law enforcement partners at all levels,’ the email reads.

And, notes White:

Actual threats of violence against school boards and educators are crimes and merit police involvement. They do not merit invocation of the PATRIOT Act, however, and this email calls into question Garland’s Oct. 21 testimony that he could not ‘imagine any circumstance’ in which the FBI would use its counterterrorism powers to monitor parents who might be deemed a ‘threat’ to their local school boards.

Is anyone surprised by this?

More to the point, will the Democrats who run the show in Congress do anything about Garland?

Don’t count on it. But there still is value in spreading the word. At least we can maintain care for the truth.
