Players for the Alabama Crimson Tide (that’s right, y’all, #RollTide) were filmed praying with President Donald Trump during a visit to the White House this week to celebrate their most recent National Championship win.

And in a deeply divided country permeated with athletes who publicly refuse to visit a Trump White House, the scene was both heart-warming and much-needed.

Trump had actually gone to the championship game himself back in January, stepping onto the field for the playing of the National Anthem and the presentation of the American flag.

Several players tweeted their experience being welcomed into the White House this week, and exactly none of them seemed upset by it.

While the Golden State Warriors recently made a big public hooplah over turning down their own White House victory lap, Alabama offensive lineman Ross Pierschbacher told AL.com that Crimson Tide Coach Nick Saban shut down any talk of skipping the trip before it even came up.

"Coach Saban addressed it and just said, 'Hey, we're doing this regardless of your political thoughts. We're going, just to celebrate this team. It's an honor. And just to be able to say that you've gone to the White House is something that you can cherish forever.' So that was basically the extent of that," Pierschbacher said.

Say what you want about Alabama, but that’s just classy.

Roll Tide.
