The media just can’t admit their own faults. That seems to ring more true than ever following their irresponsible reporting on the post-March For Life interactions between high school kids and activist race hustlers. It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone that leftist news outlets would deflect blame away from themselves in order to save face.
Responsibility really isn’t one of their strong suits.
The Washington Post came out with an article on Tuesday breaking down the incident involving the Covington Kids, Native American activist Nathan Phillips and racist hate group, the Black Hebrew Israelites.
The title of the article is, “A viral story spread. The mainstream media rushed to keep up. The Trump Internet pounced.”
While the Post did a decent job of describing the timeline of events, the writers never admitted that their publication did anything wrong. Instead, the article explains how they “worked diligently” to report the story with accuracy as the “facts” came in.
“Post journalists worked diligently on Saturday and Sunday to present the facts of the incident as we learned them,” Cameron Barr, managing editor of The Post, said in a statement, according to the article. “This was a complex encounter involving many people with sharply different perspectives — we reported what we could verify by talking to participants and witnesses and examining the available video. As is often the case, reporting over time allows a more complete picture to emerge.”
The question remains, why report on it at all before you know the story? It seems that because information is so “instant” in today’s technological society, it’s become more and more important to the media to be quick ahead of being accurate.
About half way through, the article takes a sharp left turn and focuses its attention solely to “conservative media,” targeting people like conservative commentator and documentary filmmaker Mike Cernovich and teen conservative C.J. Pearson.
“The Covington story is the sort of thing the pro-Trump Internet and figures like Cernovich are made for. As videos emerged, showing Phillips slowly approaching the teens during an altercation with a third group nearby, they went to work,” the article noted.
Yeah, it’s called exposing the media’s lies. They got caught, and now they’re trying to cover up the egg that resides squarely on their own faces.
“Now, a new viral outrage emerged,” the article read. “This time the villain of the story was the news media.”
They did it to themselves. There’s no one to blame for this except the irresponsible “journalists” that wanted their biased narrative so badly that they might have possibly ruined the immediate future for kids that were just waiting for their bus out of the swamp.
