President Trump tweeted out a warning Friday to Republican senators, urging them not to back down when confronted by "paid professional" protestors throughout the U.S. capitol.

The president's reference to "elevator screamers" was a callback to activist Ana Maria Archila's confrontation with Republican Sen. Jeff Flake in an elevator last week, which reportedly convinced the Arizona lawmaker to call for a supplemental FBI investigation into Dr. Christina Blasey Ford's sexual assault allegations against SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Fox News reported last week that Archila is the co-executive director for the Center of Popular Democracy, a Soros-funded activist group.

Protesters have hounded Republican - and some Democrat - senators throughout the week, clogging hallways, staking out offices and accosting them in between congressional meetings to demand they vote "No" on Kavanaugh's confirmation. That vote is expected to happen Saturday.
