Trump Takes On CNN's Acosta: SIT DOWN 'You Are a Rude, Terrible Person'

Brittany M. Hughes | November 7, 2018

President Donald Trump told CNN's Jim Acosta he was a “rude, terrible person” after the White House correspondent repeatedly refused to give up the microphone during a press briefing Wednesday, despite having already been given ample time to ask his questions.

“That’s enough,” Trump began as Acosta continued pelt the president with questions, well after Trump had already moved on to the next reporter.

Acosta, however, apparently didn’t get the memo that the gig wasn’t his own personal daytime television show, refusing to surrender the microphone to a White House aide.

“I tell you what, CNN should be ashamed of itself having you working for them. You are a rude, terrible person, you shouldn’t be working at CNN,” Trump fired back after Acosta finally surrendered the mic and sat back down.

Of course, the way NBC reported the incident went as follows: BREAKING: White House aide grabs and tries to physically remove a microphone from CNN Correspondent Jim Acosta during a contentious exchange with President Trump at a news conference.

Not “Jim Acosta repeatedly badgers the president, refuses to give up the microphone when asked, and physically pushes away a female aide,” as would have been more accurate.
