Trump Strikes Back at 'The Squad,' Demands the House 'Rebuke' Them

President Trump came under fire after tweeting on Sunday that progressive Democratic congresswomen Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Rashida Tlaib (with reference to "The Squad") should “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came,” if they didn’t like the way the U.S. functioned, despite three of four members of "The Squad" being born in the U.S.

After Reps. Pressley, Omar, Ocasio-Cortez, and Tlaib held a press conference on Monday to condemn Trump and renewed calls for his impeachment. Now, according to Fox News, the President has not only doubled down, but is hitting back.

Responding to the counter-attack on Tuesday, Trump released a series of tweets, demanding the House “rebuke the filthy and hate laced things” the so-called "Squad" has said:

He went on to tweet or retweet a series of alleged quotes by others defending him against accusations of racist tweets against the congresswomen.

As the squabble continues, one must wonder what Trump has in mind by engaging in this feud.
