Most people with functioning eyes and ears could tell that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) has become widely popular among Republicans and conservatives to the point that people have mentioned his name along with others to either run for president in 2024 or as someone’s running mate in the same election.
Former President Donald Trump (R) is now mentioning DeSantis as well.
Trump joined host Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business on Thursday to talk about a myriad of topics ranging from President Joe Biden’s joint address to Congress to a possible 2024 presidential run.
Concerning the latter, while Trump hasn’t confirmed whether or not he’ll be running for re-election in 2024, he did have good things to say about DeSantis and said that should he run again, DeSantis would ‘certainly’ be considered as a possible running mate.
Well, he's a friend of mine. I endorsed Ron. And after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket ship. He’s done a great job as governor.
A lot of people like that — I'm just saying what I read and what you read, they love that ticket. But certainly, Ron would be considered. He's a great guy.
