Trump ‘Not Backing Down’ – Issues Executive Order to Get ‘Clear Breakdown’ of Citizens v. Non-Citizens in U.S.

President Trump on Thursday announced that he would be issuing an executive order “immediately” in order to get a “clear breakdown of the number of citizens and non-citizens that make up the U.S. populations.”

“Imperative,” he described the action in remarks given at the White House Rose Garden Thursday evening.

This comes after the Supreme Court decided that it would be unconstitutional to include a question on citizenship in the 2020 census, which President Trump argued was a consequence of “meritless litigation.”

“As shocking as it may be, far-left Democrats in our country are determined to conceal the number of illegal aliens in our midst,” said Trump. “They probably know the number is far greater, much higher than anyone would have believed before.  Maybe that’s why they fight so hard.”

“This is part of a broader left-wing effort to erode the rights of the American citizen. And it’s very unfair to our country,” he fired.

The executive order, which Trump explained as “a new option to ensure a complete and timely count of the non-citizen population,” will involve “every department and agency in the federal government” turning over their records to the Commerce Department which handles the census.

The President described the order in further detail as follows:

I’m hereby ordering every department and agency in the federal government to provide the Department of Commerce with all requested records regarding the number of citizens and non-citizens in our country.  They must furnish all legally accessible records in their possession immediately.

We will utilize these vast federal databases to gain a full, complete, and accurate count of the non-citizen population, including databases maintained by the Department of Homeland Security and the Social Security Administration.

We have great knowledge in many of our agencies.  We will leave no stone unturned.  The Census Bureau projected that using previously available records, it could determine citizenship for 90 percent of our population or more.

Polling shows that a majority of Americans agree with President Trump when it comes to adding the citizenship question to the 2020 census, MRCTV recently reported.
