While taking questions from the press on Thursday, President Donald Trump noted that one of his priorities in reopening America from the COVID quarantines is to get churches reopened.

“I want to get our country back to normal. I want to normalize. One of the other things I want to do is get the churches open,” Trump said.

“The churches are not being treated with respect by a lot of the Democrat governors. I want to get our churches open and we're going to take a very strong position on that very soon.”

The president gave no timeline for an official recommendation on the reopening of churches.

In past surveys, Americans have listed houses of worship as a priority for reopening.
