According to various reports, 1,500 to 3,000 people from Honduras and other neighboring countries have been marching towards America's southern border hoping to gain entry. But President Trump is tweeting a message that may make them head back to Honduras.

The Daily Wire speculated that the march was suspiciously well-timed, in that the US Midterms are less than 3 weeks away, and that starting the march now would place President Trump at risk of looking callous in regards to the suffering of these migrants.

Initially, the Honduran government made somewhat of an attempt to stop this march of migrants.

According to Reuters:

"Rows of Guatemalan police in black uniforms, some wearing helmets and shields, initially blocked migrants from reaching a customs booth, Reuters images showed. It was not clear how long the standoff lasted, but the group was ultimately able to cross, said march organizer Bartolo Fuentes, a former Honduran lawmaker..."

The President of the United States however, is putting money where his mouth is on this issue. Proclaiming on twitter that, "The United States has strongly informed the President of Honduras that if the large Caravan of people heading to the U.S. is not stopped and brought back to Honduras, no more money or aid will be given to Honduras, effective immediately!"

As it is, Trumps threat to withdraw aid is a serious one, The Blaze noted that according to USAID, "...in 2016 (the most recent year for which complete data is available), the United States gave Honduras $152,015,404. The numbers for 2017 show that the U.S. has given Honduras at least $144 million, and that number will likely rise as final reports are compiled."
