During remarks in Mankato, Minnesota on Monday, President Donald Trump took a swipe at Democratic Joe Biden’s support of the Green New Deal.
Trump criticized several of Biden’s proposed tax hikes and spending increases but zeroed in on the Green New Deal put forth by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. The “deal” is considered by the Biden campaign as “a crucial framework for meeting the climate challenges we face.”
“You have 33 in health care and $93 trillion dollars on the socialist green new deal, which doesn't work, it's like written by a child, it's written by a child. A foolish child. It's written by a foolish child," Trump said.
“I have a very different vision for America's future. You got to see it before the plague, but your seeing it again right now, even more so. It starts with creating 10 million jobs in the next 10 months. And that's what's happening. Over the next four years we will cut even more taxes substantially and regulations. That's why people are pouring into our country to open up factories - bringing them back to Minnesota and every place else.”
