Trump Calls Alleged 'MAGA Country' Hoaxer Jussie Smollett 'Third Rate Actor' to Rally Crowd in Green Bay

It might not be considered “presidential,” but from time to time President Donald Trump likes to talk a little trash using the far-left’s own words against them. This time, Trump borrowed a phrase that alleged hate crime hoaxer Jussie Smollett used to smear Trump’s supporters as racist, “MAGA country,” as a supplement to the president’s description of Smollett’s ability as an actor.

Trump spoke at a rally on Saturday night in Green Bay, Wisconsin — the same rally that Trump scheduled instead of attending the White House Correspondents’ Dinner (WHCD) — and the Smollett-invented phrase of “MAGA country” came up.

“It’s called MAGA country,” Trump said. “I didn’t hear that term until that third rate actor in Chicago went out and he said ‘I was beaten up by MAGA country,’ can you believe it?”

Here’s video of Trump’s comments:

Possibly one of the most accurate things that Trump has said during his presidency was met with thunderous applause from the Green Bay crowd.

“By the way, I have to tell you that case in Chicago is a disgrace to our nation,” Trump continued.

Counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway spoke to TMZ on Sunday about Trump's assertion that Smollett is a "third rate actor." Conway defended the president by saying that Smollett attempted to stage a hate crime that tried to make Trump supporters look like racists.

"Don't forget the way this all started," Conway said. "The big lie was that there's something called 'MAGA country' in the wee hours of the morning and tried to stage a hate crime using Trump supporters, and Trump supporters should be upset about that."

Here's video of Conway's interview with TMZ:

There have been many twists and turns since Smollett spun his yarn about the alleged attack on him that supposedly occurred on January 29th. We may eventually get answers as to what exactly happened on that subzero night in Chicago’s business district, and we many not. One thing’s for sure — Trump’s not afraid to call out what he believes to be wrong. Whether that’s “presidential” or not is immaterial at this point. What matters is that the man doesn’t let society’s PC standards dictate what comes out of his mouth.
