A new study conducted by a racial justice group reveals that some of the “wokest” companies that have spent months virtue-signaling in support of minorities and movements like “Black Lives Matter” actually have some of the lowest numbers of black employees themselves, proving that “woke” gets awfully sleepy when it comes to practicing what they preach.

A study conducted by Blendoor, a new group that helps companies diversify their workplaces, found that among some 240 prominent tech companies, “companies that made statements of solidarity had 20% fewer Black employees on average than those that didn’t," per Bloomberg News.

"The finding highlights a gap between what companies say about social issues and what they do in their own workplaces, said Stephanie Lampkin, the founder and chief executive officer of Blendoor," Bloomberg reports.

Blendoor did note that while these super-woke companies might not be hiring and promoting minority employees in line with their own public social justice messaging, they have donated a combined $4.6 billion to racial equality groups and movements, which Blendoor says could have a significant impact on making the kind of change they’re looking to see.

But even still, it looks like companies are all too happy to write a check and put out an avalanche of Twitter posts condemning racism and signaling support for the progressive racial justice agenda – just, not when it comes to making a shift in their own operations.
