Comedian Jim Breuer is making changes to his stand up comedy touring schedule due of COVID vaccine requirements. Though don’t be alarmed because he’s one of the good ones. Breuer is cancelling shows at venues that require vaccination proof.

Well that’s refreshing.

Over the September 11 weekend, Breuer, a Saturday Night Live alum and stand up comic, took to Facebook Live to tell his fans that he would be dropping performances at places that enforce vaccine requirements. Breuer said he would not participate in what he called a form of “segregation.”

"Two quick updates on shows that you may think you may be getting tickets to or you already have tickets to: The Wellmont Theater in New Jersey — not doing it,” Breuer declared, adding that he’s also cancelling his show at the “Royal Oak Theater in Michigan, due to the segregation of them forcing people to show up with vaccinations.”

“I am not doing those shows,” he insisted.

No doubt, fans of Breuer’s stand up will be disappointed about the cancelled shows, but it is a consolation to see someone taking a stand against vaccine mandates. It’s encouraging in a moment where millions of people are contemplating whether they have to give up their government or corporate jobs over Biden’s draconian and unconstitutional vaccine mandates.

It’s great to see Breuer spit in the eye of this encroaching authoritarian culture. He knows the sacrifices he’s making with the decision as well. “I know I’m going to sacrifice a lot of money, but I’m not going to be enslaved to the system or money,” he claimed.

He also emphasized the point that vaccination requirements are a form of segregation, saying, “If you try to segregate my audience or my following ... I’m walking away.” He also claimed he’d rather "go bankrupt and make a stance and not segregate." Well that’s a brave man.

"If you have anything else to say, I honestly don’t care," Breuer concluded.

Of course, the general manager of The Wellmont, Anthony Morrison, admitted his hands were tied, “Our policy is put in place to protect the concertgoer, the artist and the employees of the theater alike. We wish Mr. Breuer well and hope to see him at the Wellmont Theater down the road,” he said in response to Breuer’s statement.

In an interview on Tucker Carlson Tonight on September 15, Breuer also went after Biden’s new vaccine mandates and pointed out the authoritarian tone in the president’s accompanying speech. He also revealed he isn’t vaccinated. “When our leader put that out there and pointed the finger like we’re the demons? I’m not vaccinated, I had COVID. You’re not going to tell me about my body. I know my body, I know my morals, I know my faith,” he told the host.

Other brave comics like Chrissie Mayr have taken a stand against the mandates. On the other end of the issue, elitist lefty comics like Patton Oswalt have voiced their refusal to perform at venues that have no mandates.
