A St. Louis man was charged Thursday with making terrorist threats against the police and the St. Louis City Justice Center on Twitter.

Beginning Dec. 3, Jason Valentine, 35, began using his Twitter handle @JDSTL314 to post a series of threats against the police community, one of which included his intent to bomb the St. Louis City Justice Center, reported Fox 2 St. Louis.

Valentine is accused of posting reckless statements such as, “Pick a side or die with them” and, “Kill a pig night 12/31/2014 New Years Eve massacre,” using the hashtags #Ferguson, #Vonderritmeyers, and #NoJusticeNoHolidays to accompany his threats.

His Twitter account has since been suspended.

“It was a big deal for us,” said St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson. “We took this very seriously.”

Dotson discussed the seriousness of the threats in light of the recent execution of two NYPD officers by a man vowing retaliation for the deaths of Michael Brown and Eric Garner.

Attempted killings and violent attacks on police officers such as an attack in Florida on two cops just last weekend continue to occur, demonstrating such pervasive contempt in America for our men and women in blue uniform.

For his remarks, Valentine faces 10 felony counts of making a terrorist threat and is being held on a $100,000 cash-only bail, reported AP.

One Twitter user is currently facing a great deal of backlash after posting a reckless statement of her own.

A woman using the Twitter handle @AlisonSports posted a comment on Dec. 23 that suggests the way to save black lives is to kill police officers.

The offensive tweet reads, “Save a black life: Shoot as many cops in the face as you can.”

Alison deleted her comment soon after posting, but the tweet itself was preserved in a screenshot by a fellow social media user.

A firestorm on Twitter in response to her post ensued.

After all of the commotion she sparked with her tweet, will she face any consequences?
