Some of President Donald Trump's fiercest critics are praising recent actions in the federal government's response to the Coronavirus epidemic.
Shortly after Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom got off the phone with President Donald Trump on Tuesday, he talked at a news briefing about the “privilege of a conversation,” and said the president promised more supplies for testing for Coronavirus.
“He said we’re going to do the right thing and you have my support, all of our support logistically and otherwise,” Newsom said.
Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo also offered approving comments on Tuesday.
“His team has been on it. I know a team when they are on it, I know a team when they are not on it – his team is on it,” Cuomo said. “They’ve been responsive late at night, early in the morning, and they have thus far been doing everything that they can do. And I want to say ‘thank you’ and I want to say that I appreciate it.”
