Sick! UC-Davis Student Group Condemn Picture of Fallen Officer Holding Blue Lives Matter Flag

These “social justice warriors” really give the rest of the students at any college a bad rap. Not all college kids are mortally wounded by words or images. But, a group of California — go figure — college kids took exception with a picture of a fallen police officer. Why? Because they’re prejudiced against law enforcement.

An activist committee at the University of California, Davis (UC-Davis) got all triggered because of a picture that recently gunned down Davis police officer Natalie Corona is being remembered by.

Take a look:

As you can clearly see, Corona is standing in a blue dress while holding a Thin Blue Line/Blue Lives Matter flag.

Before her murder, Corona commented on the purpose behind the picture.

“I would like this photograph to serve as my gratitude for all of those law enforcement men and women who have served, who are currently serving, and those who have died in the line of duty protecting our liberties in this great country,” Corona said in a Facebook post.

While the Ethnic and Cultural Affairs Commission did send their condolences to Corona’s family, the image of Corona holding the “Thin Blue Line” flag was all it took for the offended brigade to take issue with the image.

“The flag is blatantly anti-Black and disrespectful,” the group wrote on their now-deleted Facebook page. “We see it necessary to call-out all community members who continue to post and disseminate images of the Blue Lives Matter flag online. We would like to directly address that this flag represents an attempt by law enforcement to undermine the Black Lives Matter movement.”

President of the Associated Students at UC-Davis Michael Gofman took exception with the group’s highly questionable condemnation of the Corona image:

Its easy to sit on the third floor of the Memorial Union when there are at least 100 brave men and women in blue between you and the shooter. It is easy to argue hypotheticals, politics, and ideology when you’re in safety. I am ashamed that some of these same people, protected by the very officers that they are condemning, have the audacity to politicize the loss of a young officer. her only crime was being a police officer.

I wholeheartedly condemn the ASUCD Ethnic and Cultural Affairs Commission for this disgusting post, and urge them to take it down and issue an apology.

How quickly these students forget that it was Black Lives Matter (BLM) who were the reason that Blue Lives Matter even exists. Blue Lives Matter is not “an attempt by law enforcement to undermine the Black Lives Matter movement.” It is a direct response to the hatred spewed at them on a regular basis by people like those in BLM.

Who remembers this classic BLM chant?

“Pigs in a blanket! Fry ‘em like bacon!”

Or how about this question-and-answer chant?

“What do we want?!”

“Dead cops!”

“When do we want them?!”

“Now!”

I didn’t just make that up. It wasn’t that long ago that Black Lives Matter chanted those words:

That’s really a movement to get behind…morons.

While the Blue Lives Matter flag came into consciousness about a year after Black Lives Matter unfortunately came into existence (2013), the “Thin Blue Line” phrase has been used in reference to law enforcement since the 1950s.

Maybe these kids should spend less time in Pointless Degree 101 and a little more time studying up on their history.
